Malawi

Mission Statement

The Hopewell Village of Hope Malawi Ministry exists to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ while providing a hand up not a hand out through education, discipleship, and practical support that empowers individuals and transforms communities.

Vision Statement

We envision a Christ-centered Malawi where people  are spiritually grounded, vocationally equipped, and empowered to break cycles of poverty through faith, education, and sustainable opportunity.

Village of Hope

In 2006 two acres of land were purchased for the purpose of building the Village of Hope Learning Center. The center is located in the area of Dowa nearly 40 miles outside the capital city of Lilongwe, Malawi. Dowa is one of the poorest villages in Malawi and one of the poorest places on the planet. Our mission as a church is to bring hope to a place that has been inundated with poverty and death. By the grace of God we have been charged to impact the lives of the precious people of Malawi spiritually, academically and vocationally. In January 2017 Bible, literacy and tailoring are scheduled to be taught at the Village of Hope. We anticipate an enrollment of 30 young people at the start of the year. However, over the next five years we prayerfully anticipate the Village of Hope will be the catalyst to empower 150 Malawians annually.
