Dr. Gary L. Williams

Senior Pastor

Dr. Gary L. Williams, Sr. is the Senior Pastor of Hopewell
Church. Under his leadership, membership has grown from
approximately 70 members to several thousand. Dr.
Williams seeks to transform the lives of many through the
simplicity of the Gospel. He and his wife, Maxine, have 4
children and 4 grandchildren.

Steve Newbill

Executive Pastor
Steve Newbill is the Executive Pastor of Hopewell Church. The Executive Pastor is responsible for the overall leadership and direction of church staff, leading all functional areas in the accomplishment of the church’s mission.

Kevin Smith, Sr.

Pastor of Operations
Kevin Smith, Sr. is the Pastor of Operations at Hopewell Church. The Pastor of Operations, is responsible for the overall leadership and direction of the Operational Systems of Hopewell Church in the accomplishment of the church’s mission and vision.

Trey Smith

Youth Pastor

Trey Smith is the Youth Pastor at Hopewell Church.
The Youth Pastor is responsible for giving directions to the
overall educational and activities ministry of all youth to
promote evangelism and discipleship by planning,
promoting, coordinating, conducting and evaluating the
youth activities of the church.

Tim Carter

Small Groups Pastor

Tim Carter serves as the Pastor of Hopewell’s Small Groups Ministry. In this role, he provides leadership and direction for small groups that meet in various settings, guiding believers in weekly, sermon-based studies to strengthen the church and foster meaningful connections to Christ, the Church, the community, and one another.

Wayne Peterson

Life Groups Pastor

Wayne Peterson serves as the Pastor over Life Groups (formerly Sunday School). In this role, he provides leadership and oversight for adult and youth Bible study, guiding curriculum and supporting teachers as Life Groups meet each Sunday morning to study God’s Word and grow in meaningful relationships.

Anthony Roberts

Hospitality Pastor

Anthony Roberts serves as the Pastor over Hospital Visitation. In this role, he provides compassionate care and encouragement to members in nursing homes and to those unable to attend worship due to hospitalization or surgery, extending the church’s presence through prayer, active listening, and meaningful support.

Kiser Lewis

Prison Ministry Pastor

Kiser Lewis serves as the Pastor over Hopewell’s Prison Ministry. In this capacity, he provides strategic oversight, leadership, and direction for ministry operations across eight (8) correctional facilities, ministering to adult men, adult women, juvenile boys, and juvenile girls
